Liam's Christmas Program

OK, I know the pictures look bad, but it was dark and I was too far away. Anyway, Liam had his "Christmas Sing" at school yesterday. Gavin and I went to watch him. They did a really good job. Unfortunately the batteries on my camcorder will not hold a charge so I only got a short piece of each song. At least there is something recorded for him to be embarrassed of later in life.

Sledding at my sister's house

Finally it looks like we might get a decent amount of snow in the valley this year. It snowed quite a bit over the weekend so we took the kids to my sister Melissa's house to sled. She lives up on the mountain so her backyard has a nice hill. Liam had such a fun time with his cousin Trevan. Melissa tried to take Gavin down the hill, but he hated it. Maybe next year for him.

First Snow of the Season

On Saturday it snowed for the first time this season. Liam was excited to get out and shovel, really he likes it. Gavin just wondered what in the world it was. He didn't appreciate how cold it was out there though.

Gavin Playing

Here are just a couple of pictures of Gavin. They were taken in November. He's 9 months. Wow, the time goes by quickly!

Most of the toys were actually in the box at that moment. Usually the toy box is empty and the living room floor is covered.

Thanksgiving Day

Our Thanksgiving was nice, at least we had a good start to the day anyway.

Since I have such a huge family, we had Thanksgiving at my grandma's church. Even with 2 whole families missing we had around 50 people there. Liam had fun because there were a lot of cousins to play with.

Unfortunately Liam ended up getting sick that evening. Gavin started the stomach virus last weekend, I had it earlier this week, and it caught up with Liam on Thanksgiving. But, it was a nice holiday overall.

I hope to get pictures on the site soon. I forgot my camera so I'm waiting on my family to e-mail pictures to me. Oops.

Pumpkins

The kids carved pumpkins this year and we thought we'd get a shot of them before they were too rotten. Liam painted the ghost pumpkin for his scout party.

Halloween Morning

I went to clean the kitchen this morning and started by thoroughly sweeping the floor so that Gavin could come in and crawl around while I cleaned. I let him come in and he was playing nicely. All of the sudden, I looked down and there was a HUGE spider right next to him. He PUT HIS HAND RIGHT ON IT when I screamed!! I probably scared him to death because he lifted his hand (and luckily didn't squish the spider). I snatched him from the floor and he just held on, not moving or making a noise at all. I quickly killed the spider. Still, it is creeping me out that he put his hand on that giant spider. Goo!!

Gavin's little teeth

Here's a picture taken on Sunday that shows off Gavin's little teeth. Boy are they sharp!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to my nephew Trevan's birthday party yesterday. This year we went through the haunted house. Gavin liked it.

We made it through the corn maze, but it was a little difficult with the stroller!
We picked out some great pumpkins and strong Liam pulled them in a wagon for everyone.
Gavin is enjoying a nice treat.

Gavin found a tiny pumpkin for himself.

Fall Family Picture

I had my sister Jackie take our family picture on Friday. I'm sure you will all be getting one of the shots on our Christmas card, but here's one in the meantime. (Jackie's going to be mad I put this on before she could photoshop it and do color correcting -- just don't tell her).

Fall soccer season 2007

Liam had his last game of the season last night. He has done SO MUCH better this year. He's even made a few goals!! Unfortunately, Gavin didn't have such a fun time at the game. First, a kid kicked an empty water bottle off the field and it hit Gavin. Then a little later while I was standing up holding him a ball was kicked from the field and hit Gavin in the head. There were gasps from the crowd as Gavin started to scream. No permanent damage though.

He just can't make a serious face when I try to take pictures. But the apple sure looks good.

They won their game again. The season started out a bit rough, but they finished it by winning the last several games.

And then there's the great reward at the end of a delicious treat. (obviously mom is not great with the camera)

Gavin 6 months

My sister, Jackie, took the pictures. It's nice to have a photographer in the family. She's really getting good at it.
Lucky for us, Gavin was in a good mood when it was picture time. He couldn't help but chew on his toys though.

I can't believe how wiggly and LOUD this baby can be at times. Who would have guessed that Jim and I would have a crazy baby -- I guess those of you that know me well are not surprised at all!

Gavin's First Food

I can't believe Gavin is already old enough for food.

Gavin started out pretty well. He's just wondering what this is in his mouth.

As time went on, he got a little more messy. The weird thing is that he doesn't like fruit, at least not yet.

Dinosaur Museum

Liam, Gavin, and I went with Melissa, Ryan, Trevan, and Asher to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point before the summer was over.

Gavin wants to help Liam build a dam for the dinosaurs

Liam spent some time digging for bones, or at least covering his legs in sand.
